Text Reminders: Court Hearings or Jury Service

Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

The Alaska Court System offers court hearing and jury service reminders through text messaging. Message and data rates may apply to send and receive texts. There are 3 separate reminder programs: Court Guide Text Hearing Reminders, Jury Service Text Reminders, and SB 91 Criminal Case Hearing Reminders. One text reminder per court event. Text HELP for help or text HELP to 34852.
Sign up for text reminders:
- Court Guide Text Hearing Reminders: to sign up for a hearing reminder the afternoon before any court hearing, text a case number to (575) 222-8484. You will receive a text hearing reminder the afternoon before each hearing. Read Frequently Asked Questions and the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
- Jury Service Text Reminders: you can sign up for jury service text reminders when you fill out your jury questionnaire online or directly with your mobile device. Read Jury Service Reminders and the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
- SB 91 Criminal Case Hearing Reminders: if you are a defendant in a criminal case, you may be asked for your phone number in court so court staff can sign you up for hearing text reminders under Alaska law. You can also sign up by filling out and filing Defendant Contact Information form, CR-202. You will receive a text hearing reminder 48 hours before each hearing in your criminal case. To stop all reminder texts from the Alaska Court System, text STOP to 34852. You will receive a confirmation text. Text START to 34852 to send and receive texts again.
To stop texts for one of these services:
- Court Guide Text Hearing Reminders:
  - To unsubscribe from hearing reminders for one case:
    - To unsubscribe from hearing reminders for one case:
      - Text the case number you want to unsubscribe to (575) 222-8484.
      - You will receive a text saying you are already subscribed.
      - Reply DELETE.
      - You will receive a text that you will no longer get reminders for that case.
      - You will continue to receive messages for all other cases you signed up for, and other Alaska Court System text reminders you have signed up for (like jury service).
      - Repeat this process to unsubscribe from other individual cases.
    - To restart hearing reminders for the case you unsubscribed from, text the case number to (575) 222-8484.
    - To stop all text hearing reminders, text STOP to (575) 222-8484. You will receive a text that you have successfully been unsubscribed.
    - To restart hearing reminders, text START to (575) 222-8484. You will receive a text that you successfully re-subscribed to messages. If you are not receiving texts after restarting, text START to 34852.
    - If you have ever texted STOP to 34852, you will not receive any texts from the Alaska Court System. Text START to 34852 to make sure you receive other court text reminders, like jury service reminders. This will not restart reminders for your case. This will not restart hearing reminders for your case if you have texted STOP to (575) 222-8484.
- Jury Service Reminders:

    - If you have ever texted STOP to 34852, you will not receive any texts from the Alaska Court System. Text START to 34852 to make sure you receive other court text reminders, like hearing reminders. This will not restart jury reminders.

- SB 91 Criminal Case Hearing Reminders:
  - Contact your local court about your case.
Alaska Court System text reminders are courtesy services. The Alaska Court System and wireless providers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. You are responsible for attending your court hearings and jury service.
