Family Law Education Class
Hearing and Trial Preparation
► Family Law Education Class
If you are representing yourself in a divorce or custody case, the Alaska Court System’s Zoom “Family Law Education Class” may help. The class will:
- provide an overview of family law cases,
- explain court procedure and provide information about motions and oppositions, property division, parenting plans, child support, hearings and trials, final papers, and different ways to try to resolve your case without a trial, and
- tell you where to get more information.
We also show the “Listen 2 Kids” video, which meets the parent education requirement in Anchorage and some other locations (check with your local court).
There is no charge for the class. The class meets every other Wednesday from 12:00 to 1:20 p.m.
