All 2024 Classes are held via Zoom.
Fundamentals of Adult Guardianship and Conservatorship
- 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m.
- This class will provide participants with information about a guardian’s or conservator’s duties and responsibilities to a protected person. Attending the class satisfies the court education requirement for new guardians and conservators. You will receive a certificate following the class to file with the court.
- You will need to register for the class through Zoom.

If you cannot attend a live class, the court has a three-part video series and Part 3 will also satisfy the court education requirement. The course will prompt you to print a certificate.
Tracking Information and Filling Out Annual Reports
- 2nd Tuesday of each month from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m.
- This class will provide participants with information about completing the annual report. It will discuss how to properly answer the questions and explain free tools that help keep track of finances. If you were court ordered to attend the class, you will receive a certificate to file with the court.

Understanding the Basics of Public Benefits
- 4th Tuesday of each month from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m.
- This class will provide participants with general information about SSI and SSDI as well as Adult Public Assistance and Medicaid. We’ll cover basics on how to apply and manage these benefits as well as how to report to the court on them.
- You will need to register for the class through Zoom.

Alternatives to Adult Guardianship & Conservatorship
- 5th Tuesday of every month from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. Set for 1/30, 4/30, 7/30 and 10/29.
- This class will provide participants with information about alternatives to guardianship or conservatorship to think about before asking to court to appoint a guardian or conservator.
- You will need to register for the class through Zoom.

How to Petition for Adult Guardianship or Conservatorship
The court has a three-part video series and Parts 1 and 2 discuss the petition process.
